My current research interests are how we can motivate students to engage with practice materials, pre-lecture activities and what benefits alternative approaches to teaching organic chemistry have on undergraduates. I've tried to summarise and theme these activities on the diagram below. I hope with time to provide more details of each project on this site.

In addition to the activities above, I am one of a small number of digital advocates for the University of Leicester. Chemistry staff and students have jointly identified areas where the use of technology will make a positive contribution to the teaching and learning experience, whilst also providing continual professional development to the team.
